Location of Casita Serranía

Casita Serranía is located on the mountain ridge (about 240m above sea level) in the south of the island, on a country estate beside the old farm house of the owners, 5 km from the village Playa Blanca, connected with a road down the hill, 1 km up the hill to the next small village with restaurants, bar and a small supermarket.
This accommodation is perfect situated far enough from Playa Blanca but near enough to enjoy all the amenities of a modern tourist center. Here you can relax and enjoy the nature of Lanzarote, the hills and the panoramic views.

Casita Serranía is a lovely renovated guest house in a rustic Lanzarote style, all built on one level, all rooms leading outside to the terrace. In the rooms are brick-built beds, bench and shelving, and terracotta tiles on the floor. In the combined living/bedroom you will find a double bed, brick-built benches with table and chairs, shelving and a large wardrobe. This room provides international television (digital satellite TV) and radio with CD.

The second room is a functional small kitchen - perfect equipped for self-catering with fridge, freezer, ceramic field, dish washer, toaster, Coffee machine, kettle and microwave. In this room there is another single bed with little wardrobe in case you wish to stay overnight separately.
From both rooms you can reach the terrace with about 40 square meters, partly covered and shady with brick-built benches and tiled table as well as sun beds. Most of the guests prefer the terrace as their outdoor living room. From the terrace you can reach downstairs (6 little steps) a lovely new renovated bathroom with washing-basin, a wide shower and a toilet. In a wind protected corner in front of the bathroom you will find another cold outside shower under a lovely bougainvilla tree.

Sitting on the terrace you may love to enjoy the fantastic view overlooking the romantic garden, the country side to the village Playa Blanca also with view to the next islands Lobos and Fuerteventura. The pleasant terrace is perfect sheltered against wind and glances.
Casita Serranía is ideal for hiking, you can start directly from the apartment to the surrounded mountains.

Leisure Activities and Sightseeing of Lanzarote

The place is perfect as starting point for a walk to the mountains which are arround, as there are the Atalaya mountain (610 metres of hight) the Pico Redondo (550 m) and the Hacha Grande (561 m ), all reachable from Casita Serrania by walking. In Playa Blanca and the area arround you may find tennis, bike rental (mountain biking), diving (Marina Rubicon), surfing, jogging, fitness center and wellness center (in several hotels available). A new golf course you can find in Tias / Puerto del Carmen, which is about half an hour car drive away.

Very near (6 km by car) you find the famous Papagayo Beaches with its sandy bays and cristal clear water. In Playa Blanca there are some other lovely beaches (Dorada beach, Playa Flamingo), lots of supermarkets and shops, restaurants for everyones taste and bars, pubs (English bars and Irish bars) and a long shopping area only for pedestrians as well as the lovely beach front for walks more than 10 kilometers.

Sightseeing: By car you are in some minutes at very interest places and well known restaurants, for example Femés (Casa Emiliano) or at the Timanfaya Park with its "Fire Mountains" (volcano mountains of Lanzarote). Also there is the very interesting wine road (La Geria of Lanzarote) where you may enjoy some wine in a Bodega... The lovely fishing village El Golfo also is not far away - famous for good fish dishes and perfect sun sets!
